Amy + Tim’s wedding (part 2)

I had a lot of fun shooting this wedding. Standing on your feet for about 10 hours is tiring work, but by the end of the evening, I was like… yes! let’s do this again. Haha. My wrists were actually getting sore halfway through the reception from having to hold the camera + lens + flash unit + light sphere. At least I didn’t have all the funky gadgets Scott was carrying around. Or his slick Batman utility belt.
I shot and editing all these pictures, but the posing on #1, 3, and 11 were done by Scott. To see the photos he took, check out this beautiful slideshow. And for those of you who missed my story on how I got into wedding photography, you can read it here.
* * * * * * *I get to go to Davis this weekend!
Woot! IV, Fuji’s, clubbing, photoshoot.
I miss college life, just not the studying.

i love the hummer shot
not only is it part of a wedding album, it’s also a hummer ad.
Great shots! What’s your secret to lowlight situations? I suck. Sometimes I can’t get my shutter speed fast enough (even with a high ISO) so any movement is a total blur.

nice shots man!
those pictures are great!
So glad you’re doing what you love to do.
I heard this quote from a photographer once and I thought I’d share..a modern Taiwanese photographer.
“Photography is irony. In a flash of a camera you capture a moment that is dead, already past, that you can’t retrieve, but then again through “formatting” the moment in the photograph(the picture) goes on forever…”
god, i watched that slideshow and i was almost in tears!
you did a great job on these photos!
a family friend is gettins married next summer…i’ll have to see what they’re doing for photographers….

Great photos! I really like the little boy in front of the hummer!
These pictures are absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word.
Wow! One has to sort through a lot of comments to state anything on your site!
That first bridal image is absolutely stunning! And I also love the fisheye image!
Abby and I began using 2 sites when they had that pitiful image upload amount everymonth. Back then, we didn’t know about photobucket. We have very different subscribers to each site, so we’ve kept using two.
We are trying to figure out if we want to combine sites and just use one or what…So the first part of the month we use warriormaiden, the second part of the month we use ImageCatchers…
Hope it’s not too confusing! Thanks for the encouragement with our images! We certainly ADORE photography and aiming to see as God sees
Blessings
Christina
yes! i like #1
Junshien, thanks for your encouragement!
Hey, remember that Goodyear Tire Center on 5th street in Davis? My grandma owns that. . .
I love downtown Davis. I know the bus schedule by heart, I think.
And I love your pictures, too.
Abby
i love picture 7!
beautiful! it is a little strange, though, that in 2 of the pictures, she is looking away while he kisses her. creates a sort of off mood…like she’s rejecting him
RANDOMSSSSSSS. I LOVE your photos.
gorgeous pics!!
very very nice. I like the hands of the couple, posed but you get the feeling of closeness. that shot in front of the H3… i love yellow. ryc: haha yeah, the A series are pretty good for the price and features, i’ve recommended them to a few friends already.
The little boy is so cute. I need to stop eating so much cake. Sooner or later I am going to start looking like one. =(
i think the candid shots are beautifulllll…!!!
you’re right…i do have awesome friends

Wow, awesome job with the wedding pictures. The fisheye from the back of the congregation is a new perspective I haven’t seen before (or maybe I just don’t get around much). Congrats again on being able to do what you love. Hopefully the same can be said for the rest of us eventually.
man GREAT JOB DONE!!
i love this set. i can feel the atmosphere as if i were there!
do you go to hakone gardens for shoots?
oh nope.. pretty close to SF.. im in Palo Alto…
fun stuff
lets photoshoot together ^_^
great pics! my fav. one is the one with the hummer
yes, it’s so so great!
I tried your advice for low-light situations by using the manual mode. I usually shy away from manual but now I love it! I think I’ll be using manual for most of my shots from now on. Thanks!
Somehow the photos make me think they arre from some tv show! Do they let u do that?
U really are an amazing photographer
im interested in taking pics of bridges and buildings
my fave is the little boy. what a cutie! and….well, you gotta love that yellow.
I love these shots! Thanks for subscribing!
Btw, I do web design as well.
those kids are cute ^_^
btw, would you please accept my friend request on the xanga profile?
i m turning my friends lock on, you wont be able to read my xanga if you are not on my friend list =)
hope everything is going fine with you!
addy C:
Great images. Beautiful couple. You and Scott did a great job in capturing their happiness on film.
Yep, I used manual mode and didn’t have much of a problem with camera shake. I had a little trouble with parts of some pictures being out of focus though because it was set to f2 but it wasn’t a big deal. My iso was at 800 and for some reason the noise is much more noticeable on some pictures than others.
those r sum nice picz
did i ever tell you taht the 2nd picture was my favorite one?
these look good. i love the 4th(?) one of the church and the curved appearance. see ya tomorrow nite!
WOW – that boy and the yellow car behind him. Such a cutey
