• photoshoot with Christina

  We were originally only going to take about 2 hours for the shoot, but we got in a groove and just kept on going for hours until we were forced to stop at sunset. Christina was incredibly easy and fun to work with, and even though the shoot was completely free-flowing, we still managed to pick out amazing lighting conditions at all our locations.

  Before we started, I forgot to warn Christina that I often make my subjects work hard for their pictures. Which was unfortunate, because for our first location, we found a grimy storage shed and I had her climb up a 15 foot structure and get on top of truck tires and giant pipes. Five minutes into our shoot, and her clothes were already dirty! And then after she changed and cleaned up, the next location we stopped at just happened to be by the roadside where I had her sit in the middle of a patch of tall weeds!

  Later on in the day, we were sneaking around an apartment complex when we saw a boutique motel with a beautiful blue door in the back. We figured we’ll try to take pictures there without getting chased away by the workers. But about two seconds later, this guy walks out and before we could ninja away, he asks us why we were in the courtyard. Turns out he owns the place, and he kindly invited us to use the lobby area if we wanted. Unfortunately, I didn’t really get any good shots there because I didn’t want to stay too long and bother the guests who were using the place. It was all great fun though!
