  • Amy + Tim's wedding

Over the weekend I had the privilege of shooting a wedding with Scott Robert. It really is amazing watching a master at work. All the million little aspects that go into creating his masterpieces--the external flash handheld 12 feet away to create that little pop, the attention to minute details like where the bride's hand is placed on the groom's cheek, arriving at a scene for the first time and knowing instantly what the picture is going to look like, working the dynamics of the bridal party so they have fun doing a wide plethora of poses, all the technical details that go into choosing lens type and aperture settings and how the available light plays into the whole picture, the post-processing work that turns a photograph into a work of art... and he makes it all look so easy!

In reality, he's where he is today--rising quickly as one of California's most sought-after photographers--because of years of hard work and dedication that has allowed him to hone his craft until it's a fluid blend of art and science and pure inspiration. And he has none of the snobbiness that I've seen in some photographers who know they are all that. I'd like to be like a Scott Robert someday.

Btw, the poses from this wedding is all Scott's. That's why it looks so awesome. haa. And I used his photoshop action set too.

If you or anybody you know is getting married, seriously consider Scott! And if you found out about him through me, have me book your wedding and I can offer you a special package price that's substantially less than his starting rate of $10k.
