So many things were going wrong with this shoot. We were running late, the sun was setting faster than expected, we didn’t quite end up at the Legion of Honor as planned, and the weather wasn’t cooperating
at all! We drove around to find some shelter, to maybe see if we can have some semblance of a photoshoot even with the rain pouring like it was. After all, they had purposely dressed up for this, and we had driven all the way to SF. But there was little natural light, and I didn’t have the necessary off camera lighting to do the job properly.
So what do you do as a photographer when your clients have been expecting some fantastic photos, and you’re wondering the whole time how much more water your two thousand dollar baby can take before the internal circuits short out or moisture screws up the motors and fogs up the lenses?
You take a deep breath, step out of the car... and run off into the cold, biting rain.
Here goes... something, you think. Oh, it was
crazyfun.

Well done sir.
Well done sir.
In 4 and 5 I would've set them off to one side... I don't like the bulls-eye effect.
But 1,3,8 and 9....... wow. They're beautiful!!

hey hey. you're gunna photograph my wedding pictures, okay? okay. Lemme go find my Mr. Right first. =P
I'd still much rather be outside shooting....althought I must admit, I do appreciate the intricacies, attention to detail and small things that go into wedding photography. You only really appreciate all the little things when you start shooting yourself. oh well....hopefully I'll have more wedding opportunities in the future. I still feel very outa place.
First pic of the set is my favorite. The motion blur of the umbrella and their expressions totally make the picture. sweet stuff.
