  • thousand words: Gone Looking

    Gone Looking
    11.23.04

        ever get the feeling
                      that something is missing
           or just not quite right
    but try as you may
            you can’t put your finger
                                             on it.
    well this has got me
                              s c r a t c h i n g   my head
                              looking  a     r  o  u  n  d

       wondering…
maybe God is trying to tell me something
or maybe my heart’s gone missing
if i knew i would perhaps tell you
so goodbye for now—i have gone to find what is causing
                 this vague sense of absence
        if you see it
please tell it to come find me
because we weren’t meant to be

    apart.

(Yea, so I try. Please don’t laugh.  )

edit: Did you know that our life of peace and affluence isn’t normal in this world? If you didn’t know, ask me and I’ll tell you why. I’m starting to come to the conclusion that living for ourselves just might be the most selfish thing we can ever do. Which begs the question: what have I done this week that is worth remembering a month from now? Go watch Hotel Rwanda. It’s not a good movie either.
