  • *Star Wars Midnight Showing Update*

    For whatever it’s worth, Rotten Tomatoes has given EP3 a pretty high 83% rating.


     


    The earliest car is leaving by 8. Everyone needs to be there by 10pm at the latest. Half of you won’t know each other, but that’s okay. More girls than guys coming too. Weird. Haha.


     


     


    I have the tickets for the 28 people who have confirmed so far. You should have already received an email with more info.

    What: Star Wars Episode III



    When: Wednesday midnight, May 18th

    Where: Brenden Theater, Vacaville

    Why: It’ll be the most fun you’ll ever have at ANY opening day showing  

    Who: like, everybody. duh.

     


     


    This is going to be a ton of fun.


     


    Why? Cuz the best movie experiences are almost always the midnight showings. The movie isn’t really all that important, and frankly, I’ve been telling myself Episode III is gonna suck. It’s the line-up and the hardcore fans who make it so much fun.


     


    Kinda like how that one time I went movie hopping with Ben and Chris: casually running walking past the security guards was more fun than the movie itself. No wait…what am I saying? Erm. No, we should obey the law. Cough up that $10.50, kids.


     


    This isn’t about some movie with bright colors, weird costumes, and lots of explosions. This is about the closing chapter of an American saga, the story of a cultural icon come full circle. This is about spending some quality time with friends and being able to tell your kids, “No, little Billy. Daddy isn’t that old. I wasn’t born yet when the first Star Wars came out in theaters. But by golly! I got to wait in line for the last one!”  Hahah or something like that.

  • actually I’m going to see star wars later on that night.  I have a midterm in the morning so I can’t see the midnight showing.  as for the Bush picture, I thought it was pretty funny.  what ticks me off about him? I hope the picture didnt give off that impression. but to answer your question. hmmm…that seems to be getting into politics, which I’m not an expert of.  I can’t say I like him, but I can’t say I don’t like him.

    thank you for your input! =] don’t worry, you weren’t “speaking out of [your] depth”…!!! i think anyone who has eyes is probably qualified to criticize photos… more opinions expose me to different ideas as to how i can make my next shots, the frustrating thing is when people don’t understand that what they are asking me to do is not something i can achieve because, well, i don’t control anything as a photographer…i only work with what i am given :P
    unless i can work in a studio, then that’s different;D

    that said, you know, it’s really interesting but the fringing is inherent in the photo..i don’t know why :S i can only venture to guess that the bottom half gradient of the sky caused it….
    but yeah, i did tried to brighten up the photo through shadow/highlight! =] the second one is only there because i find the composition better than the first…perhaps i should have made it black&white hehe
